My creative progress has been a little stunted for the past few months, but it's beginning to shake off. Unfortunately, I'm moving in three weeks and don't want to start in on any new oil paintings until the dust has settled. As a compromise I've been doing some work in my sketchbook so I'll have ideas ready and on hand when I've got my easle and paints ready to go again. I've been doing some abstract sketches - nothing like my typical work - exploring color, composition and structure. Nothing groundbreaking, but I've had fun messing around, and I thought I would share a couple:
I can't wait to get my painting area set up in the new space. It's frustrating to be inspired and not have my normal tools available to use.
